Another Harvest Moon is an official selection of the Sedona International Film Festival. Dates of the event are Feb. 21-28. AHM is screening today, Feb 25 at 7 p.m. at the Harkin 1 Theater and on Saturday, Feb 27 at 4:45 p.m. also at the Harkin 1 Theater. See you there!

Mar Vista wins AFM bidding war with Ostrow for International Rights on Another Harvest Moon

Los Angeles, November 3 …Mar Vista Entertainment has concluded an AFM deal for with Ostrow and Company after a vigorous bidding war over international rights for Another Harvest Moon, a feature film starring Ernest Borgnine, Doris Roberts, Piper Laurie, Anne Meara, Richard Schiff and Cybill Shepherd and directed by Greg W. Swartz.

An Aurora Films and SMD Productions presentation, Another Harvest Moon is a spirited family film about three generations of family and the friends that impact their lives  with all the bickering, loving and caring that such relationships entail. With a good dose of humor thrown in.

The film was produced by Bobby Black and executive produced by Steven M. Delamater. Several domestic distributors are currently vying for domestic rights according to reports from producer’s representative Page Ostrow.

About SMD Productions: This is a full service independent motion picture production and finance company headquartered in Pennsylvania. A number of other films are in development.

Dr. John  Slovak co-founded Aurora Films in 1999 to establish grant funded medical outreach and education in third world nations through direct use of modern media. His multiple roles include being an executive producer and writer/creator for Aurora. Bobby Black joined the company in 2002.

‘Moon’ shines on Hollywood festival – Variety.com

“Another Harvest Moon” will open the Hollywood Film Festival Oct. 23 at the ArcLight Cinemas.

The 13th annual Hollywood Film Fest lineup includes “The Assistants,” “Formosa Betrayed,” “Not Since You,” “Last Day of Summer” and the Academy Award foreign-language film submission from South Korea, “Crossing.”

The weekend also features the Hollywood Comedy Film Festival showing “Wild Girls Gone” with Amy Poehler and “Little Fish, Strange Pond” with Zach Galifianakis.

The three-day film fest announced its nominees for the Hollywood Movie Awards: “Inglourious Basterds,” “District 9,” “500 Days of Summer” and “Up.” The winner will be chosen by an online poll and will be announced Oct. 26.

The fest will close on Oct. 25 with the Hollywood Discovery Awards for best feature, documentary, comedy, short subject and music video.

Ostrow and Company To Kick Off ‘Another Harvest Moon’ Sales at Toronto Festival

Los Angeles, September 8…

Beverly Hills based Ostrow and Company has been named producers’ representative for the Aurora Films and SMD Entertainment Productions feature film Another Harvest Moon, it is announced by executive producer Steven M. Delamater. Sales will kick off at the Toronto Film Festival.

The film, which stars Ernest Borgnine, Piper Laurie, Anne Meara, Doris Roberts, Richard Schiff and Cybill Shepherd, received the Audience Award and Best Musical Score award at its world premiere at the Rhode Island Film Festival. Borgnine, who has appeared in more than 200 motion pictures, was also presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Another Harvest Moon will also be shown at next month’s Hollywood Film Festival and Louisville’s International Festival of Film, where Doris Roberts will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Moon, the powerful emotional story of four elderly residents of a nursing home who become like family to each other, was directed by Greg W. Swartz from a screenplay by Jeremy T. Black.
